There is no interval, they are supposed to last for life which is fine as long as that "life" doesn't exceede 120k miles ish, which most will. You can add turbo actuator failure to chains and manifolds ohh and the occasional crank damper.
3.0 tdi Heater Blowing Cold - URGENT HELP! I have recently purchased a 2012 A6 Avant 3.0 TDI with a DPF fault which didnt really scare me as the car was cheap. Anyway I then discovered that the heaters are blowing cold (ish) air and not giving any hot air which the DPF specialist said I should have looked at before throwing money at the DPF.

The allroad will have air suspension which can be very expensive to repair and would most likely need work at that age and mileage. The late model which you are looking at, have the early issues with chains and injectors sorted.
